rackAID provides the following packages for self-installation at no charge. You use these packages at your own risk. Though these packages have been tested, we do not provide any warranties or guarantees about their functions. We recommend that you install these packages from the command line and not the GUI. Some packages include extra text instructions that will not be shown on the control panel. Please do not link to these package files directly or redistribute them from your web site without permission. We prefer you to link to this page as we will be providing updates every month.

Libsafe is a dynamically loadable library that detects and prevents several known buffer overflow attacks. We have used it with sucess on many platforms. The pkg has an uninstaller but will require a reboot for all of your currently running systems to take advantage of it.
mod_gzip is an apache add-on that reduced bandwidth by compression files dynamically. Please be careful installing this module as it can cause issues with custom httpd.conf files. Install from the command line for full details.
MySQL 4.0.13 pkg for the cobalt raq 4. Be sure to backup your data before installing. Note you may need to grab the PHP pkg below if your PHP based applications fail.
This package is for use with MySQL 4.0 only. This PHP 4.3.2 includes curl, GD, mysql and a number of other features.

Provides tracking of CPU, traffic, connections uptime and more. Note the url will be: http://www.domain.com:81/.cobalt/mrtg/ as this package is designed to be accessed using the admin's password authentication scheme.
This is a special build of perl that puts a statically built perl 5.8.4 into /home/perl584. You can use this perl without breaking the GUI.
